Your Responsibilities

As an Engineer Product II - Electronics Systems (CA) for John Deere in Fargo, ND, you will:

  • Apply knowledge of company products, policies, and practices to provide economies through the standardization of parts and products;
  • Produce and evaluate possible design solutions to improve cost, quality, and performance based on a specialized knowledge of Deere’s proprietary and highly customized engineering applications;
  • Compile and furnish the necessary information to document design solutions required for the building of prototypes and the adoption of designs with the possible involved of other functional engineers, supply management, and supplier personnel;
  • Develop and execute tests and analysis plans for product verification and validation;
  • Provide technical support to Marketing, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Management organizations;
  • Execute high-level applications to more complex problems;
  • and analyze assignments and determine engineering specifications which must be fulfilled for complex problems or projects of moderate scope.
  • Up to 20% domestic and international travel required.

What Skills You Need

  • 3 years of experience with electronics product level testing (Engine Control Units, Communication modules or Display modules)
  • 3 years of experience in electronic test system hardware design, sourcing, integration and deployment in an electronics production factory
  • 3 years of experience in develop, integrate and deploy National Instruments Software (LabVIEW) controlling test system environments in an electronics manufacturing facility using Vison Development toolkits or Sound and Vibration toolkits
  • 3 years of experience in electronics factory quality improvement implementation using industry standard quality tools including Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility (Gage R&R)

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field plus 3 years related experience.
