Your Responsibilities

As a Senior Software Developer for John Deere in Moline, IL, you will:

  • Develop and support an API Management platform;
  • Establish and evolve API best practices to solve business requirements;
  • Collaborate with development teams for onboarding and implementing the enterprise standard for API Development;
  • Engage in all aspects of the software delivery cycle including the design, build, test, deploy, document and support of software applications;
  • Build REST API to integrate and modernizing the current suite of applications in a cloud native platform;
  • Follow the modern Agile software delivery practices using Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD);
  • Collaborate with the customer facing application development team that consume the data via the API and support the infrastructure and APIs.

What Skills You Need

  • 5 years of experience in design, develop and implement REST APIs to build APIs that access, manage, store and expose data efficiently
  • 5 years of experience in secure APIs using standard Security Protocols, Processes (OAuth 2.0)
  • 3 years of experience in use of AWS Cloud Services (such as API Gateway, EC2, or Lambda) to create, publish, maintain, monitor and secure the APIs and Business Applications
  • 3 years of experience in use of Test-Driven Development (TDD), Continuous Delivery (CD) and Continuous Integration (CI) practices for continuous Software Delivery Lifecycle (SDLC)

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field plus 5 years related experience.
