Your Responsibilities

As a Module Leader for John Deere Cylinder located in Moline, IL, you will….

  • Be responsible for achieving departmental/area goals and objectives
  • Supervise semi to highly skilled production employees on an assigned shift to ensure the manufacture of products and/or execution of parts orders within established delivery, quality, safety and cost standards
  • The supervisor is the first-line liaison between the production employees and the management staff and thus also serves the function of representing the company's interests with the shop floor staff

What Skills You Need

  • 3 or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment supporting operations
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Ability to work cross-functionally within a team 
  • Having a strong understanding of John Deeres manufacturing process
  • Ability to lead, motivate and manage a team effectively
  • Strong decision-making skills to address issues promptly and effectively 
  • Efficiently manage time to ensure production goals are achieved 
  • Ability to analyze problems and identify root cause
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve efficiency
  • 1 or more years of experience providing direct supervision or operational support within a unionized work environment, demonstrating familiarity with collective bargaining agreements and labor relations best practices

What Makes You Standout

  • 3 or more years of experience in a engineering supporting role 
  • Experience with material flow (material coordinator or scheduling) 
  • Experience with data analytic

Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent related work experience
