Your Responsibilities

As a Sr. Product Engineer for John Deere Reman located in Springfield, Missouri, you will:

  • Leads in the solution of division-wide complex problems or projects for remanufacturing by identifying and organizing necessary resources. Acts as technical advisor.
  • Provides solutions for development and verification of remanufacturing processes and products as John Deere Reman launches new engines and drivetrain components into our portfolio
  • Provides Community of Practice (COP) leadership that fosters the development and adaptation of common engineering processes and tools to improve and leverage the individual and organizational performance of the engineering function.
  • Drives new product development rigor and support current product processes for remanufacturing
  • Leads in resolution of difficult technical issues across a division whether within the company or with outside suppliers.
  • Develops remanufacturing analysis plan and conduct complex analysis for engineering and operational implementation

What Skills You Need

  • 5+ years of product and engineering process experience
  • 3+ years product test and analysis experience.
  • 1-3 years experience in three of the following areas related to John Deere engine and/or power train: continuous improvement, design, performance, calibration, application, or PV&V
  • 5+ years experience with engineering tools, systems and databases.
  • 1-3 years of experience presenting technical information to knowledge leaders and management

What Makes You Stand Out

  • 5 years of experience leading change and mentoring employees
  • Demonstrated record of successful product launch and risk mitigation
  • Reverse engineering experience
  • Experience in critical data analysis.

Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • Degree in an Engineering/Technology discipline or equivalent experience. - Masters degree or equivalent.
