Your Responsibilities
As a Staff Software Engineer for John Deere Intelligent Solutions Group, working remotely , you will...
- Work on the Land product in John Deere Operations Center to help users Setup, Plan, Monitor, and Analyze their farm and job site data. We operate in a collaborative and open environment using the latest in web and cloud technologies as we build the future of precision agriculture.
- Developing and supporting high quality John Deere Operations Center web applications using React
- Providing technical leadership in all aspects of the software delivery cycle including the design, build, test, deploy, and support of software applications
- Leading change through adoption of new technologies and best practices
- Mentoring and guiding team members to foster growth
- Collaborating with Product Managers, Designers, and other supporting teams to discover and define product requirements

What Skills You Need
- 6 or more years of experience with JavaScript in building full stack web applications
- 5 or more years of experience designing and implementing with React.js
- 5 or more years of experience with Test Driven Development
- 3 or more years of experience leading technical design within a team
- 3 or more years of experience mentoring within a team of software engineers
What Makes You Stand Out
- Proficiency in TypeScript
- Experience designing and maintaining services using AWS technologies
- Experience working in the Precision Agriculture domain
- Experience in developing and consuming RESTful web services
Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Bachelor's degree in either Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, MIS, or other IT related discipline
